Challenging but picturesque
This is a fairly hilly run, maybe not one to do as a novice. The potholes weren't great, but we were warned. Scenery was lovely. One of the nicest HRRL I've done.

Really good race, start too much of a walk esp if its cold and raining as it could easily be . This needs rethinking for sure.

Great scenic road run with some challenging hills
A very challenging run along scenic country roads that were well marshalled. Everyone was friendly and the atmosphere was very good. The only downside was the distance of the parking from the registration area and then after dropping bags there was another lengthy walk to the start line.

Great event with a tough course
Very well organised with super helpful and supportive marshals. The course is described as "undulating" and feels like it is uphill most of the way, so a half decent time is quite an achievement.
This is a race organised for club runners but as pretty much a beginner I found it very welcoming and friendly.

It would be nice if the age category awards went to 1st & 2nd place please.

One of my favourite races in the HRRL calendar so far. Absolutely wonderful organisation, the finish line was iconic, choir really added a lovely finish, post run snacks, views and great marshalls. Would recommend to all!

Great Event
A lovely, friendly event. Everyone involved was so cheery, from the Organising Team (who all had to step up at the last minute to ensure the event could go ahead after an accident), to the Lions, the Scouts and the Rock Choir - it was a hugely community spirited event and a great thing to be a part of. Wishing a speedy recovery to the Event Organiser.

Fantastic atmosphere - loved the Rock Choir at the finish to bring everyone in on a high. So much work goes into making these events happen and its very much appreciated. Nice one Alton Runners.

A gem of an event. Brilliant race and a "must do" event every year.
Beginners need to be aware of the hilly terrain, but if they are willing to give it a go, they won't be disappointed.
