Decent, but...
Generally a good race but, needs more marshalls, long periods without seeing any, given the number of Alton runners running today it would be easy to add a few more. Parking, mixed messages on the way back to car, told we couldn't go through the college and made to walk quite far only to then have to come back because the gate was locked.

Are we nearly there yet?
You're advised in advance that the Alton 10 undulates. What they fail to tell you is, although you start and finish in Holybourne, the finish line is almost three-quarters of a mile beyond the start. The start being 20 minute walk from the Race HQ (so perhaps obvious). A significant amount of will power was required to maintain pace and running form. Both were failing me in the end. Nevertheless, a great Hampshire Road Race League course (my first time). Bib collection, bag drop off and collection were seamless. The Ice Cream van and coffee van were as welcome as the finish line Rock Choir. Great community atmosphere, professional without being too pompous!

A challenging course with clear signage and marshals, in beautiful Hampshire countryside. Fantastic atmosphere out on the route, as well as at start and finish.
Can I do it again next year, please?
Jane Georghiou
A very well-organised event

As tough and beautiful as I was wanting it to be, if not more
Really great, thank you. Would love to do again - first time last Sunday. Thank you to all helpers and organisers. Only concern was last 1k or so, where I wanted to go faster with it nearing the end, and wanting to run on the road, but having to stay on pavement, which is not great when it goes up and down and others in front. However, thank you again - really great!

Hily event with great views.
Quite a few hills and was a hot year.
Some great views along the course and plenty of water stops. While it was an open road course there were only a few cars and they all passed slowly and giving plenty of space.
While it is a wooden medal it is layered and carved out (love the bee design) so looks much better than a lot of the laser etched flimsy ones.

Tough but very enjoyable event
I don’t like events open to traffic but actually there was very little and all the vehicles I saw drove very considerately.
Nice medal and good to get a bar and water at the end.

Good event, lovely roads. Well organised. Shame that everything needs to be so spread out in terms of parking, sign on and the start but it is what it is.
