Alton 10 - 2026

The Alton 10 is a popular event in the Hampshire Road Race League (HRRL) calendar, attracting runners from across the region. With its scenic, undulating course through the Hampshire countryside, it offers a rewarding challenge for runners of all abilities over a distance of 10 miles (16 km).

Race HQ: Eggar's School, London Road, Holybourne, Alton, GU34 4EQ.
This is located at the eastern end of Alton on the main road towards the A31.
 

Race Details

The Course:

The route follows a scenic, undulating circuit through Hampshire's countryside and picturesque village lanes, finishing back at Eggar's School. The total race distance is 10 miles (16 km).

Entry Fees

Early Bird Price (Before 2nd March) £21.00 (£19.00 for UKA Affiliated Members)

Standard Pricing (on or after 2nd March): £23.00 (£21.00 for UKA Affiliated members)

Please note: An additional booking fee applies to all entries.
 

Facilities & Logistics

Toilets: Available at Eggar's School.
Changing Areas & Showers: Limited facilities are available at the school. We recommend arriving ready to run.
Bag Drop: A designated area will be available at Race HQ, supervised for security. Please label your bag with your race number.
Pre-Race Drinks: Refreshments will be available near the start.
 

Important Information

Age Limit: Participants must be aged 17 or older on race day.
Permits: UKA License No. #TBC | Course No. 23/085
Prohibited: No dogs, wheeled vehicles, or accompaniment by bicycles. The event is not wheelchair accessible.
Late Entries: No entries will be accepted on the day of the race. All participants must register in advance through the official entry link.

All finishers will receive a medal.

Trophies and Prizes:
Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers overall:

• Overall Male: 1st, 2nd, 3rd
• Overall Female: 1st, 2nd, 3rd

Prizes will also be awarded to the first finisher in the following categories:

• Male: Senior, V40, V45, V50, V55, V60, V65, V70, V75
• Female: Senior, V35, V40, V45, V50, V55, V60, V65, V70
