Brilliantly organised event . If we could just have turned the temperature down it would have been perfect! Great atmosphere , great volunteers and great race

The only one criticism I would have is that the weather today was hot and the water stations felt far between. Maybe one extra stand on a hot day like today. Otherwise it was brilliant

I used to work at Lasham Airfied with Dan Air Engineering from 1979 to 1984. Doing this race at Alton brought back great memories of the place and the people I used to work with.

No notes, you can’t control the weather!
There were plenty of water stations, the Marshalls were so lovely and encouraging, really well run race!

Wonderful scenery and a great fun challenging route!

At registration we started queuing under the letters to be told we had to register, then be told we needed to go to the other side and then to go to where we were quuing in first place, where queue had got longer. It seemed that one lady was confusing things sadly.

Around 11k a Alton runner and someone in a crew shirt cycled past us. I could hear them coming and thought they were cyclists on a ride
They were busy chatting and it would of been nice if they were encouraging runners rather than chatting to each other. Other cyclists not involved were seen to encourage runners.

The cut off time was tough with the heat and the up hills.
I only just made it...I hope!! The atmosphere was great but for beginners the tough route and heat could put people off with a cut off time

As ever rural scenic route with plenty of Marshals...

Really well organised, marshals were all very helpful and supportive. Really lovely atmosphere from start to finish, even will all the hills in the first half!

Heat is the main issue, with the hills makes it harder work.
Has it ever been discussed about changing the time of year the race is run - like in autumn or winter?
