Really enjoyed it. For a new course that had to be altered with a few days to go, it was great.
The organising team and marshals were excellent - friendly, knowledgeable and encouraging.
Assuming the 9km marker was in the correct place, I think the last km might have been 2-300m short...didn't have tech measuring it though.
The water station would have benefitted from being larger and with more helpers there.
You're aware that the finish line needs rethinking - race pace to zero immediately was hard, and the beer station didn't have to be right there.
The beer was great, though!
Well done to all and see you next time!

Interesting concept for an event
I felt that the concept of starting and finishing at a brewery was novel.
There were several amends to the event during the week prior. This was somewhat disconcerting
The postcode provided for the parking took me to a housing estate. May have been advisable to verify this before publishing. There was ample parking at the estate which could have been negotiated beforehand
Registration was very smooth and worked well.
Limited toilets but not a problem
The route was not the most interesting but adapted to the changes. Lots of happy marshals along the way. Waterstop management needs refining. Placed a tad close to the start. Long queue meant we didn’t stop for water on lap two
The finish was somewhat chaotic. As soon as we finished we merged into a disorganised queue for our free beer. Needless to say we didn’t bother to queue. Definitely would have benefited from different siting of either the finish or the bar.
Overall the event is a nice idea but it needs greater reflection on the end user experience. Be interesting to see how the event pans out going forward

Some fine tuning required
A great location leading to a fun finish with fab atmosphere. However, the start/finish area was too cramped. And there as no water ready for finishers at the end (or not when I got there anyway). The free beer was a great added bonus and motivator. But the queue was SO long. In future, the beer needs to pre-poured to speed things up. Great marshall presence - thank you. And a well marked route.

Fantastic event with a few teathing problems that would be expected of a first time event.
Fantastic for a first time event.
The route may have been short I notice lots of Strava recordings from the event being just below 10k
Start and finish was not a large enough area to accomodate the volume of participants. I feel the perticually at the finish it was there was not enoug space to collect medals, post race water and post race beer, the queues were causing a back up in the finish gate.
Water station needs to be larger as que created due to lack of prefilled cups, possible an additional marshal on hand to help fill cups. - Unfortunate caused me a delay in my run while waiting for water.
Fantastic atmosphere, lovely marshalls, good course with some flat some hills and a good mixture of terrain.

Great for an inaugural event
Water station needs better management, I skipped it due to the queue.
Start and finish location needs adjusting.
The route was possibly a touch short? Everyone seems to have come up just below 10k, however I appreciate there was buildings and tree cover so that may be the reasons.
However, very well marshalled, lovely route, really enjoyable event

Fantastic vibe with outstanding supportive and motivating marshalls
Definitely would do this event again

Enjoyable and not too challenging a route, just one nasty but short climb. Well organised apart from teething problems which are to be expected on an inaugural event.
Enjoyable event and great to have the beer and glass at the end. However had to queue for this for just over half an hour in a very disorganised snaking line while many just jumped it slowing down the limited servers and official queue. Not their fault, just no organisation. Also could do with a sign to the start from the top car park as quite a few of us arriving early started by following big arrows that turned out to be for the route markers. I’m sure that next year these issues will be ironed out and once that’s fixed this should become an excellent annual run.

Great event, lovely organisers everyone was so supportive and friendly!
Registration was super easy and quick and the set up at the end was lovely, the option of food, sweet treat and a pint went down a treat!

A great event!
Not quite 10k unfortunately
Vanessa Cracknell
Disappointed that after the run we had to que for the beer
Apologies for this - something we are definitely working to improve for next time.

A great way to spend a sunny March morning.
The start / finish area was very congested.

Run and beer in the sun - what could be more fun?!
Mary Morris
Amazing weather!!

Great local run, we’ll be back next year.
To make it better:
water station needed to have more people helping or bigger table to have more cups of water ready to go (had to queue to get water)
Beers need to pre poured so that the queue moves quicker or cans handed out.

I missed out on my free beer after waiting 20 mins as the keg kicked, at a brewery!? Went for the run and beer combo, ended up just going home.
This is the first I (The Race Organiser, Ellie - on the microphone) knew that the beer ran out. If only somebody had said something to me I could have EASILY sorted this..... I will be sorting some compensation out for you - watch your Inbox.

relly well organised and marshalled, liked the route, would definately do it again

Room for improvement bearing mind this was a first event.
It was good but could be improved
2 laps wasn’t fun, there are plenty of ways to extend that run to do one lap albeit appreciate there are roads to possibly cross.
The start/finish line should not have been squashed in the corner. The chaos at the end waiting to get the free beer needed to be managed better we waited 40 mins at least.
Saying that, it was the first one so I’m
Sure improvements will come next year. The Marshalls were fabulous, the medal was great (glad I got one) and it was a lovely day for it, will sign up next year!
I appreciate 2 laps isn't for everybody - I would love to know your idea of a 1 lap route. Road crossings have to be officially managed and approved by the Council. Agree with your point about the start/finish line which will be reviewed for subsequent events. Everyone who ran got medals :-)

Worth running for that beer at the end. :)
a great race. Hopefully it will be a regular event.
