Good
I've been to a 10k run event where runners were encouraged to take their own water bottles, which were labelled (by race number) and placed on a table near the finish line. This removed the need to provide water for runners at the end - which helps to reduce use of single use plastic (plastic cups), and probably saves costs too. Could you do similar at Dinton?
I think I'd have found the event to be poor value for money, if I entered the 5k race (considering that Parkrun is free).
I would prefer the event to be cheaper, and not receive a medal - or at least for the medals to be more basic (eg. at other events, I've received a wooden medal, rather than a metal one).
Spacing out the runners at the start according to the times we were aiming for was very helpful. I appreciated the piece of fruit at the finish line too.
Thanks for your work in providing this midweek run.

what a great evening
Every one had a smile on their face, and what a way to enjoy the great outdoors. As you said we were there by choice and I’m glad I chose to go.

Always brilliant
Love the summer series, my go to running event

A really well organised event with prepay parking and a team of marshals that made every thing easy
I think it could be improved by spacing the water station bins further from the aid station with an increased gap between bag 1 & 2. I’ll be back

Amazing as always. The most amazing atmosphere at any running event I’ve been to.
Thank you for the extra water station! I heard a few people say it would probably be better at about 7-7.5k and maybe space out the bins a bit more as lots of runners dumping the plastic cups on the ground. Although on the second lap the volunteers had done an amazing job and cleared most of them up.

Absolutely loved it except the plastic cups.
My husband and I have ran quite a few trail runs and absolutely love trail running. We come from South Africa and have learned to carry our own water and snacks even on shorter runs. It was devastating to see so many plastic cups lying on the floor some right next to the bin. We have done some longer distances with absolutely no plastic on the event as all was told to bring own water or refillable cups. I would love to possibly see this going forward. It can be done.
Other than that all three previous events have been absolutely amazing and so much fun. Will definitely be back next year as well.
What running events should be
So much about the Dinton Summer Series feels personal, from your name being called out on the finish line to crowd-sourcing the music. It's a fantastic come-as-you-are atmosphere, beautifully organised, with a lovely route.

Excellent race series that I enjoy every year
A pancake flat course running in beautiful scenery. Well organised, well-marshalled and an overall lovely event.
This year 'expected finish signs' have been brought in, but unfortunately on the first use they were all super close together (so far too many people needed to get between the two signs). Next time they need to spread out a little!
Fantastic event, great photos, and adaption throughout the series
Really well organised and fun atmosphere, it has a festival type feel, given the food stalls, refreshments and parents support of the kids. The kids then support the parents which is really nice to see. The paths are gravelly and the distance is a bit long I believe so not a PB course. The organisers adapted to the runners requests of more water stations! and the photos are always fast and amazing quality. Thank you! Also it's great that there are prizes for age category winners!

Always a great race and well organised
The medals are great and I like the fact they’re unique and not the same for each race.
Sally Waterman
A well-organised feel-good race for all abilities on a easy trails away from traffic with great support from other runners

A perfect summer’s evening for a run!
This was my first time participating in the Dinton Summer series 10km -I only wish I had ran the first two in the series. Bib collection was straightforward, the atmosphere was excellent, vendors were aplenty (great incentive to refuel post run!) and the Marshalls/volunteers were encouraging and friendly. Thank you for a well organised and communicated event.

Nearly didn't go due to the heat- very glad I did!

A lovely community feel and response to feedback from previous races has been quickly actioned.
It's a very friendly event which has a community feel. The changes to toilet facilities shows they listened to runners, plus the food and drinks makes it feel suitable for families and observers as much as runners. The only feedback re the kids race is that it's so full of really good runners that my daughter tried it once and felt it was way above her standard. Not sure how that can be changed to encourage newer runners, but otherwise a great event and super organised.

Lovely route great atmosphere
The summer series is the one event I come back to, year after year
The events are perfectly spaced to improve my finish times - they support 3 weeks of training and a week up to/after the events. The atmosphere is always really good (nice microphone work from Ellie), there's no bumping and pushing (even with narrowish paths and lots of runners), and the interlocking models always incent running the whole series. With the option for 5k or 10k (and a 2k children's course), why wouldn't you want to take part?
Great as always!
Been doing this race for 13 years now, always look forward to it. Thanks for adding extra toilets this month too

Great Family Event
The Dinton Summer Series is such a great family event. Myself and some of my family take part in the 5k or 10k and my grandchildren in the kids 2k. Lovely setting to run on a nice summers evening. Very well organised with plenty of parking available. Looking forward to races 3 & 4.
