JOIN US FOR A WICKED DUATHLON IN WENDOVER WOODS ON SUNDAY 1st OCTOBER 2023

Wendover Woods is the highest point in the Chilterns, and what better place to start an amazing Duathlon event, with stunning views over the local countryside.

The first run takes place on the firm firecrest trails that wind gently down through the woods before snaking their way back up to the visitor’s centre. The Sprint completes one lap of 5k, while the Standard and Middle two laps (10k)

The bike course heads out of Wendover Woods on to local country roads and drops down into the village of Wendover before heading back up to StLeonards via a challenging climb. The Sprint distance will complete this lap once, the Standard, three times, and the Middle four times, before re-entering Wendover Woods.
The final section of the bike leg is completed by riding through the Wendover Woods estate on a beautiful scenic road that takes your breath away in more ways than one!

The second run sees you heading back on to the fire tracks in the woods for a single 5k lap for the Sprint and Standard, and two laps (10k) for the Middle,  finishing near the visitors centre where you will collect your well-earned medal.

For those who dont want to tackle all three legs on their own, you can team up with others to complete the event as a relay team of 2 or 3, completing a discipline each.

This event will be hosted by Wendover Woods, a Forestry England venue. Forestry England manage landscapes for wildlife to thrive, people to enjoy and as a source of sustainable wood. 20% of your ticket fee will go towards maintaining Forestry England visitor facilities including visitor centres, play areas, bike trails and other facilities. By joining this event, you’ll help support the forests and maintain the facilities for you and your family to enjoy.
