Saturday 8th August 2026 – Part of the ATW First To Full Triathlon Festival
The Odyssey Triathlon is back — and in 2026 it becomes the centrepiece of the brand-new ATW First To Full Triathlon Festival. On Saturday 8th August, St Neots will host a truly unique day where endurance athletes of every level come together to race, celebrate, and be part of something extraordinary.
The Odyssey is more than just a long-distance triathlon. It is a journey of self-discovery through swim, bike and run, set against the beautiful Cambridgeshire countryside. With both full and half-distance options, this is your chance to take on one of the most rewarding challenges in sport.
In the Full Odyssey Triathlon, athletes will take on a 3.8km swim in the meandering River Ouse, followed by a 180km ride through the scenic Cambridgeshire countryside, before finishing with a 42.2km marathon around the historic riverside town of St Neots.
The Half Odyssey Triathlon offers the same unforgettable experience at a more accessible distance: a 1.9km swim, a 90km bike, and a 21.1km half marathon run. Perfect for those stepping up to long-course racing or athletes looking to test themselves over middle distance, the Half provides all the drama and atmosphere of the Full in a shorter format.
For athletes who want the swim-bike challenge without the run, the Odyssey Aquabike is also available in both full and half-distance options.
In 2026, the course has been designed with athletes and spectators in mind. The bike route passes Race HQ every 45km, while the 5.3km run laps bring athletes back through the lively hub again and again. Supporters will be able to cheer from multiple points along the course, with the legendary “Tent of Enlightenment” providing music, food, drink and a buzzing festival atmosphere throughout the day.
This is racing at its most inclusive and inspiring. With generous cut-offs — 16 hours for the Full Odyssey and 14 hours for the Half Odyssey — there’s time for every athlete to achieve their goal. Whether you’re an experienced long-course triathlete or stepping up to the distance for the first time, the Odyssey is your chance to test your limits in a supportive, festival-style environment.
Away from the course, the First To Full Festival makes the day a celebration for everyone. Families and friends can enjoy live music, children’s activities, great food and drink, and the vibrant town of St Neots just a short walk from Race HQ. With camping available on site all weekend, you can settle in, enjoy the build-up, and celebrate your achievement long after you cross the finish line.
Every finisher will receive an exclusive Odyssey medal, an event t-shirt, and a selection of post-race goodies. More than that, you’ll carry the pride of having completed your very own Odyssey.
This isn’t just another triathlon. It’s an adventure, an experience, and a festival. It’s your Odyssey.
We have camping spots available on Friday and Saturday night, if you would like to be on site and ready for the event. Stay over after the event and make your way home on Sunday morning by 10AM. Click here for more info
