The ATW Milton Keynes Triathlon is the UK’s newest closed-road triathlon event, taking place at the stunning Willen Lake in Milton Keynes. With a lake swim, a fast traffic-free bike course, and a flat scenic run around the lake, this event offers the perfect race experience for both beginner and experienced triathletes.
Located less than an hour from London, Birmingham and Oxford, the Milton Keynes Triathlon is easily accessible and ideal for athletes looking for a Sprint or Standard distance triathlon in the UK.
Whether you’re entering your first triathlon or chasing a personal best, the fast course and supportive race atmosphere make this an unforgettable event.
The race HQ is located at the beautiful Willen Lake, one of the most popular outdoor sporting venues in Buckinghamshire. The venue provides a perfect setting for triathlon with calm open water swimming, wide closed roads for cycling, and a scenic lakeside run route.
Milton Keynes is famous for its green spaces, extensive parkland, and of course its iconic Concrete Cows, making it a fantastic location for a triathlon event.

1500m Open Water Swim

If you don’t want to complete all three disciplines, there are additional race options available:
Sprint Aquabike (Swim + Bike)
Standard Aquabike (Swim + Bike)
Standard Distance Team Relay
These options make the Milton Keynes Triathlon accessible for athletes of all abilities and experience levels.
