The race begins on the iconic Grafham Dam, giving you an exhilarating, fast start with panoramic views stretching across the water. From there, the route sweeps you all the way around the reservoir, offering mile after mile of beautiful scenery — winding through peaceful woodland, skirting the edges of the Nature Reserve, gliding past Dragonfly Pond and Sanctuary Bay, before building towards a memorable final mile back along the length of the dam wall.

Every section of the course has its own character, making this a run that keeps you engaged, energised, and smiling throughout. Whether you’re chasing a strong performance or simply soaking up the surroundings, Grafham Water delivers a truly standout race experience.

Camping is available the night before the event at Lakeview Paddock, just moments from the course.

Alternatively, Grafham Water Centre offers dormitory-style accommodation, allowing you to wake up on site and enjoy a stress-free race morning.

ATW Transfer & Refund Policy

At ATW, we understand that sometimes plans change. While we do not offer refunds or transfers to another person, we provide a hassle-free event transfer option for those unable to attend their booked event. If you are unable to participate in your scheduled event for any reason—including injury, illness, pregnancy, bereavement, or other unforeseen circumstances—you can transfer your entry to any future ATW event. There is no proof required, we trust you!
Even better news, transfers can be made all the way up to 48 hours before your original event date.
