Brilliantly managed to deal with the last minute venue change and created a friendly and fun event with lovely, helpful staff.

Our son loved his first Duck and Dash with Freedom Tri, we'll definitely come back again next year. Massive credit to all of the organisers who clearly worked so hard to make this a brilliant event.

Only let down is swim entry position. Whilst liking the informal- sort it out yourself- and 90% do, I was one that was caught in a four competitor “pile up” on the second lane ( similar incident happened to me in 2024). A club friend who was watching also said near the last few competitors entering the water somebody was so slow on the second lap that the other competitors had to stop and wade in behind them. Just need one official to walk the starting competitor line at the beginning just checking competitors are in fairly right order. Also if somebody is in wrong place and badly holding up for others, officially stop them after finish of first lane (100m) and ask them to wait until a clear gap. Competitors would soon see the benefit of being in the right order.

2026 Duck and Dash was every bit as good as previous years, despite a last minute venue change when the usual one became unavailable due to flooding. The Freedom Tri team are amazing. Friendly, supportive, encouraging, approachable. The 50m outdoor Lido is always a gorgeous place to swim, in a beautiful tree-lined setting. This year's was at a different but equally beautiful Lido. Loved the running route and the proximity to the hub all the way around. I also love the usual venue - very different.

Brilliant they rearranged and provided such a high quality experience after the other venue had to drop out at last minute. Amazing job.

Good, considering the organisers had to change the venue only a week before. Parking was a major issue, and so was toilet paper (at least in the ladies' toilets). The latter could easily have been foreseen and prevented.

The organisers did an amazing job when there had to be a venue change less than a week before the event. Well done to everyone involved. Thank you for all the encouragement from the marshalls.

First time for my son - he loved it! We will return next year and hope friends will join. Very well-organised logistics and easy to navigate the site. Great energy. Big thanks to the helpful and enthusiastic volunteers/marshals. We appreciated the shout outs.
